The 10 Day Kitchen Remodeling Process

 

1. Initial consultation

Come to the 10 Day Kitchens Design showroom, you can get ideas before you meet with your designer. Once you have seen all the options in the design center and have an idea of what you want your dream kitchen to look like, you can schedule a meeting in your home or at the showroom with your kitchen designer.

2. In home meeting

At your in home meeting, your consultant will meet with you to offer you guidance and help you decide which cabinets and counter top will work best for you based on your needs and budget. Your expert designer will measure your kitchen and discuss the functionality and style details you want to see in your future kitchen. Your 10 Day Kitchen designer will look at layout options that best fit the space and your personal preferences. The designer will check electrical, gas, and plumbing requirements while in your home. The 10 Day Kitchens designer will also take pictures of all elements in your kitchen including cabinets, counter tops, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and lighting to help create your beautiful new, custom designed kitchen within the spacial requirements of your current kitchen.

3. Design presentation meeting

Your designer will provide a kitchen design (or series of kitchen design options) for you to choose from. Your designer will meet with you to further discuss specific design elements and assist you with material selection. This meeting will allow you to view drawings of potential layouts and cabinetry so you can visualize your kitchen project. Once you have selected your layout and materials, your designer will put together a custom quote for you. Your quote will include any discounts or pricing specials available based on materials you have selected.

4. The contract

Once design discussions are completed and you have approved your quote, you will be able to sign the kitchen remodeling agreement. This agreement will include a copy of your design layout, a list of all the materials you have selected, and any applicable discounts. The agreement will also outline the work that will be performed and your payment schedule.

Once the contract is signed, 10 Day Kitchens will not add any extra cost without a signed change order. A change order is drawn up if you have additional work that you want completed or need a revision during the installation. 10 Day Kitchens will only request a change order if additional costs are incurred for labor or materials to accommodate your change request. Our goal is to avoid change orders but we do know that you may have an additional need along the way and are happy to accommodate your needs. 10 Day Kitchens wants to deliver your kitchen remodeling project on time and on budget, based on the original agreement whenever possible.

At this time you will also receive your estimated install start date.

5. Ordering materials

Your materials will be ordered once your paperwork is processed. The order will be processed within 48-72 hours of receipt of your signed agreement. If you would like to make any changes in your project specs, we ask that you please notify us, so we can adjust the order. Change orders that incur additional costs will require your signature.

6. Inventory and Materials

As your materials arrive, they will be checked to make sure they are exactly what you ordered. All your materials are also checked to be free of damage from shipping and to be sure there are no defects from the manufacturer. Once all of your materials are here and checked, your installation will be scheduled. At this time, we will let you know if there is anything you need to do in preparation of our arrival. This is one of the most crucial steps in our process. By ensuring all products are in stock before starting, we avoid time delays during the installation process.

7. Delivery and Install

10 Day Kitchens will arrive promptly on the date and time scheduled for your install. Your skilled kitchen installers will go over the plan with you and answer any questions that you may have before they start. The first step will be the removal of your old kitchen. Most of the demolition and prep work should be completed on the first day. On day two the installers will begin working on the floor and cabinets. The project will progress and you will be amazed at how quickly your experienced kitchen installers can get the job done. The installers will bring you into your beautifully remodeled kitchen in about 10 days for final approval. The 10 Day Kitchens goal is to complete your kitchen remodel in as few as ten days. *More detailed, expansive and complex kitchens may take longer.
